THE ORGANISATION

The Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF) started in 2004 with one purpose, ‘to see a world living upon Divine values.’ Today our projects and guidance spans across 7 countries and it has developed and provided guidance to thousands of Muslims.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised, target driven, Events and Campaigns Coordinator to join our Business Development team. The Events and Campaigns Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting our organisation business development work. The position involves the planning and implementing of events and campaigns, administrative support, stakeholder communication, and database management to help achieve our goals. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for our mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute events and campaigns, including coordinating logistics, recruiting and managing sponsors, and managing volunteers.


  • Develop and maintain relationships with donors and potential donors.


  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to develop campaign materials and communications.


  • Conduct research to identify potential stakeholders and grant opportunities.


  • Manage and update donor databases with accuracy and confidentiality.


  • Prepare and distribute promotional materials and communications.


  • Support the processing of donations and acknowledgments.


  • Coordinate meetings, including scheduling and preparing necessary materials.


  • Assist with the analysis of activities to identify trends and opportunities.


  • Provide administrative support to the business development team.



PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

  • 2-3 years of experience in fundraising or marketing with demonstrated success in growing revenue and securing major donations.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with donors and stakeholders at all levels.


  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


  • A passion for our mission and the ability to articulate it to others.


  • Team player yet confident working alone, with ability to identify and formulate thoughts on critical issues. 


  • Results driven.


  • Ability to look beyond own area of expertise, and willing to go the extra mile to learn, develop and deliver results. 


  • Ability to work well under pressure, to meet tight deadlines in a stimulating environment while managing multiple projects and personnel.

  • Proficiency in using standard word processing, financial modelling and presentation software and online tools. 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Broad knowledge, empathy, and understanding of Islamic principles

  • Able to work evenings and/or weekends when required to service events and campaigns.


The Events and Campaigns Coordinator will play a pivotal role in raising funds to support the organisation's mission. They will have the opportunity to utilise their creativity, organisational skills, and strategic thinking to plan and execute successful campaigns that raise awareness and funds for the organisation.
