The Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF) started in 2004 with one purpose, ‘to see a world living upon Divine values'. Today our projects and guidance spans 7 countries and have developed thousands of Muslims and provided guidance to millions across the globe.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be charged with the setup of our data department and will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analysing data to help drive strategic decisions and improve outcomes. As a key member of a small organisation, the Data Analyst will work closely with various departments to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Collection and Management:
  1. Gather data from various sources, including internal databases, CRM systems, and third-party platforms.
  2. Clean and pre-process data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Maintain and update data records, ensuring data integrity and security.


  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  1. Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  2. Use statistical tools and methodologies to interpret data and generate insights.
  3. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate findings effectively.


  • Reporting and Presentation:
  1. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to share insights with stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
  3. Assist in setting KPIs and metrics to track performance and measure the impact of initiatives.


  •  Support Decision-Making:
  1. Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic planning and business initiatives.
  2. Monitor and report on the performance of key business processes and suggest improvements.
  3. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.


  • 1-3 years of experience in a data analysis or similar role.


  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).


  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).


  • Strong understanding of database management and data cleaning processes.


  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.


  • Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.


  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.


  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to various projects.


  • Ability to look beyond own area of expertise, and willing to go the extra mile to learn, develop and deliver results.


  • Passion for our mission and the ability to articulate it to others.


  • Experience with CRM systems and data extraction tools. (preferred)


  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and statistical modelling. (preferred)


  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards. (preferred)
