THE ORGANISATION

The Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF) started in 2004 with one purpose, ‘to see a world living upon Divine values'.


The Prophet sallalahu alayhe wasallam built the companions and provided them with the guiding principles of Islam and they in turn took these principles across the globe allowing Islam to flourish.


Following in the footsteps of the Prophet sallalahu alayhe wasallam, MRDF carries out its work by creating and incubating projects and initiatives that focus on building people and providing guidance.


Today our projects and guidance spans 7 countries and have developed thousands of Muslims and provided guidance to millions across the globe.

THE ROLE

The Marketing and Sales Lead is an ambitious, creative, enthusiastic individual, who strongly believes in our vision and mission and is excited by the prospect of helping people be better worshippers of Allah.

 

They will be responsible to help create and spearhead the marketing and growth strategy for MRDF’s projects, campaigns and products.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Strategy development: Research, develop and recommend the long-term strategic growth strategy and plan for traditional, social, and digital media. 


  • Implementation of strategy: Oversee the implementation of our marketing strategy; ensuring that we optimise the appropriate channels to hit targets.


  • Brand oversight: assume role of brand guardian, keeping an eye on activities and material to make sure the brand profile is consistent with the mission and visual identity.


  • Leadership and management: Lead and manage a team of contractors, staff, and volunteers to implement marketing strategies. Ensure MRDF is working in an efficient and effective way following best practices and targets are being met.


  • Growth: Researching and understanding marketing and social trends and looking for ideas, ensuring MRDF and its projects remain relevant and searching out avenues for growth.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • At least five years of professional experience in project management role or leadership role.


  • Ability to manage complex, multi stakeholder projects, events, campaigns whilst evaluating risks and opportunities with a proven track record of success.


  • Ability to learn new trends and make recommendations based on strategic plans.


  • Experience in developing and managing business plan, overseeing budgets and cashflow and being able to source funding through varied means and campaigns.


  • Experience in growing, leading, managing, and holding to account a team of staff and volunteers.


  • Team player yet confident working alone, with ability to identify and formulate thoughts on critical issues.


  • Able to grasp and interpret complex ideas, including the MRDF vision, mission, core focus and the importance of MRDF’s work in the dawah scene.


  • Ability to look beyond own area of expertise, and willing to go the extra mile to learn, develop and deliver results.


  • Ability to present MRDF vision, mission and core focus to stakeholders and partners.


  • A personal commitment to our vision and mission.


  • Professionalism and best practice in all duties.


  • Proficiency in using standard word processing, financial modelling and presentation software and online tools.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Broad knowledge, empathy, and understanding of Islamic principles
