We’re on the lookout for a Purchase Ledger & Billing Assistant who’s not only great with numbers and spreadsheets but is also curious, collaborative, and cares about doing a great job.


You'll be a vital part of our Finance team, ensuring our supplier accounts are accurate, reconciled, and well-managed.


What you'll be doing:

As a key player in our Finance team, you’ll:

  • Reconcile supplier statements using agreed processes.
  • Rotate reconciliations to ensure balanced supplier account management.
  • Investigate discrepancies with curiosity and confidence, using our system.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries quickly.
  • Provide essential support during our year-end audit, ensuring all reports and reconciliations are clear and complete.
  • Process invoices and credit notes using our inhouse system.
  • Tackle queries from our shared inboxes and incoming supplier post.
  • Work flexibly across ad hoc administrative tasks to support the wider team.

Person Specification

Who we're looking for:

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have a strong attention to detail and a drive to challenge the status quo to improve processes.
  • Are confident in communicating professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Have strong IT skills, especially Excel and if you know your way around VLOOKUPs, even better!
  • Love solving problems and working as part of a team.
  • Have experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance environment.
  • Take pride in your work, with a sense of ownership and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
