Risk and Compliance Assistant

BDO’s Risk and Independence team is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the firm’s compliance with local and global independence, quality, legal and other compliance matters.

We are currently seeking a team member to join our dynamic team of professionals within the Risk and Independence function. As an integral part of the team, this individual will be managing the firm’s independence and compliance processes and become a technical subject matter expert in consulting with, and providing guidance to, our service line professionals on independence matters.

This individual will also serve as a role model by promoting and demonstrating our commitment to quality and risk management policies and processes within the firm.

You will be working as part of the team addressing the following areas:

• BDO Accreditation requirements
• Privacy/PDPA
• Independence
• Contract/NDA review
• Supplier onboarding
• Subcontractor
• Other regulations such as Labor Law
• Assist our Risk & Quality team to evaluate and ensure the above compliance requirements
• Conducting compliance & risk assessments and reviews
• Prepare and deliver training to people on Risk and Compliance matters
• Planning and organizing own work and keeping others informed of status and activities
•  Ensuring timely delivery of work assigned
•  Supporting the compliance awareness-raising activities

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably with some exposure to legal and accounting regulations
• Preferably 1-4 years of working experience but new graduates will be considered
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Ideally, you will also be:
• Confident, Self-driven, flexible and result-oriented individual
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work well as a supportive team player, also able to work individually with less supervision where necessary
• Willing to learn and apply new standards
• Possess a positive and constructive attitude
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Team player
• Open mindset
• Should be able to work under pressure and prioritize work accordingly
• Thai National
