As a key part of the data modernisation programme, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimising the data flows that power the company's new platform. This role will focus on data ingestion, transformation, and modelling within our cloud ecosystem, using Snowflake as the core data warehouse and Kafka for real-time data capture.
• Experience integrating with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data schemas and Schema Registry.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices or working with DevOps teams.
• General knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
You’re a data engineer who wants to work with real-time data, and you enjoy solving problems around streaming, transformation, and integration. You don’t need deep Kafka internals or ops knowledge — just the confidence to use the Kafka ecosystem to move data between systems and shape it along the way.
Location: Preferably Portugal, Lisbon and surrounding regions.
