Senior Project Manager [37800]

The successful candidate will spearhead a business-critical, multi-year data platform modernisation programme. They will be responsible for leading a large, blended team of over 30 individuals from the client and multiple external vendors and consultancies.

• End-to-end ownership of the programme plan, budget, governance, and successful delivery.
• Lead, coordinate, and provide clear direction to a complex, multi-vendor delivery team (30+ members).
• Manage a complex stakeholder matrix, including reporting progress, risks, and issues to C-level executives.
• Proactively identify and mitigate programme-level risks, particularly those inherent to complex data platform projects.
• Act as the authoritative figure for the programme, ensuring all teams are aligned and working towards a common goal.

• Experience: 10+ years managing large-scale, complex technical programmes.
• Domain Expertise: Demonstrable, in-depth experience leading data-specific programmes (e.g., platform builds, data warehouse/lakehouse modernisation, large-scale migrations). This is essential.
• Industry: Experience within the Insurance or Financial Services sector is strongly preferred.
• Leadership: Exceptional leadership skills and presence. Must have the authority and credibility to lead a large, senior group of experts from different companies.
• Technical Acumen: While not a hands-on role, they must be technically astute enough to understand the data landscape, challenge technical teams, and effectively manage project risks.
