Description
Reporting to the Quality Manager the main purpose of this role is to manage and provide Quality Engineering support for the Operations and Quality departments by ensuring that products and processes are maintained in line with business and customer requirements.

The Role
This role encompasses the following responsibilities:
- Implementation and management of inspection and certification control plans
- Supporting the Project Management team with contract reviews
- Supporting customer requirements to APQP e.g. PPAP requirements to AS or AIAG standards.
- In process production part approval using visual and dimensional inspection
- Final inspection of completed components or assemblies including signoff.
- Manufacturing support to the production areas with reference to quality issues
- Ensuring the continuous improvement of procedures and implementation where required.
- Measurement systems evaluation such as dimensional FAIRs and MSA studies.
- Actively support the business QMS to external certifications e.g. ISO 9001:2015.
- Accomplishment of shop floor product sample and process audits to schedule.
- Maintenance and management reporting of performance
- Managing all related non-conformance issues
