Overview
As a Senior Manager/ Director, you will operate as a key part of the leadership team within the line of service as well as across the practice. You will provide quality client services, meeting business objectives, lead business development, lead the line of service and the teams in their development, and be proactively involved with across the practice in these areas.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading management role with team in delivery of outsourced accounting and tax compliance clients.
- Use of specialist industry knowledge and skills to oversee engagements and line of service.
- Efficient and effective delivery of engagement on time and on budget, and in compliance with quality and risk standards including ISQC1 and firm policies and procedures, in accordance with exceptional client service.
- Sign as registered accountant for a portfolio of clients on behalf of the firm.
- Recruitment, and implementation of firm coaching and training strategy for the line of service.
- Lead opportunities for improvement and development of solutions internally and externally, including digital solutions
- Leading role in assisting coaching and training for across the line of service.
- Take responsibility for personal development and growth.
- Work effectively as part of a team as a leader, and active development of knowledge sharing and thought leadership.
- Motivate, encourage and actively bring the best out of the team and each member.
- Lead business development activities and ensure active on social media platforms.
- Building and maintaining a network internally and externally, and staying aware of industry trends, and effective communication of industry related matters.
- Development of thought leadership and participation in networking events.
- Commercial negotiation, opportunity identification, opportunity conversion and increasing business acumen.
- Ensure business performance aligns with strategic objectives, active management of workflow and resources to ensure delivery of current and anticipated demands.
- Be a role model for staff displaying traits and characteristics of exceptional leadership, and continuous improvement in these areas.
- Leading role in business opportunities across the business, actively working with other lines of services, offices and business partners.
- Set the tone from the top in ethics, risk, quality and behaviors.
It is expected you would have a highly competent understanding / knowledge of the following technical areas:
- Delivery of accounting, taxation compliance and financial reporting engagements.
- Compliance with Revenue Code for corporate taxation, VAT and WHT.
- Compliance with book-keeping and reporting requirements of the Accounting Act.
- Incorporation requirements of Limited Companies Act.
- Awareness of BOI, FBA and IEAT application processes.
- Financial reporting standards.
- Deliver VAT refund “health checks” or audit support.
- Accounting systems, digital technology, and better practice.
- Review and advice on technical matters
