Description
THIS IS AN INTERNAL ROLE ONLY
Job Purpose
The Content Coordinator supports the successful delivery and continuous improvement of our postgraduate programmes by coordinating content workflows end-to-end. This role is highly operational and detail-driven, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, on time, and production-ready across multiple formats (written materials, recorded lectures, Active Learning Activities (ALAs), podcasts, panel discussions, transcripts, and other learning assets). The post holder works closely with internal teams and external subject matter experts (speakers/authors) to maintain quality, manage timelines, and ensure robust version control. The role also contributes ideas to strengthen the market positioning and commercial exploitation of each product.
Key Responsibilities
Content coordination & delivery
- Coordinate content workflows for an agreed portfolio of programmes/modules, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and deadlines are met.
- Act as the day-to-day liaison with content authors and speakers to gather materials, clarify requirements, and keep delivery on track.
- Track progress, risks, and actions using agreed tools and reporting methods (e.g., trackers, dashboards, shared logs), escalating issues early and proposing solutions.
Quality assurance (QA) & editorial consistency
- Review and quality-check course content for clarity, completeness, consistency, and alignment with house style and programme templates.
- Ensure learning assets are correctly structured, labelled, and ready for upload/production (including metadata, file naming, and format checks).
- Support content updates and improvements through controlled review cycles, documented change logs, and clear sign-off points.
Transcripts, Knowledge Centre & Moodle readiness
- Coordinate transcript production and readiness (receiving inputs, managing review cycles, ensuring consistency and clarity).
- Coordinate Knowledge Centre preparation and ensure materials are structured, complete, and ready for upload into Moodle in line with programme standards.
Scheduling & production support
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for content production (recordings, podcasts, panel discussions, asset collection), including speaker communications and readiness checks.
- Support the logistics and preparation for live/interactive components such as Ask It Now / Solve It Together, ensuring materials, prompts/notes, and documentation are ready in advance.
- Work closely with internal production/digital teams to ensure content is delivered in the correct format and to production timelines.
Version control & governance
- Maintain robust version control across all course materials, ensuring a single source of truth and a clear audit trail of changes.
- Ensure content is stored, organised, and retrievable in line with internal governance and compliance expectations.
Marketing exploitation & product storytelling
- Proactively generate ideas to strengthen the market appeal of each programme: key selling points, differentiation angles, campaign hooks, speaker highlights, and “why this matters” narratives.
- Complete/coordinate the marketing form for modules/programmes by capturing key strengths, suggested messages, cross-selling opportunities, and ideas for future campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing/sales teams by supplying product insights and supporting materials (e.g., module highlights, programme summaries, learning outcomes, speaker bios).
- Identify and suggest opportunities to repurpose educational content into marketing assets (within agreed guidelines), such as short clips, key takeaways, or themed content series.
Post-publication feedback loop
- Support the post-publication feedback loop by monitoring delegate feedback with relevant stakeholders, logging improvement opportunities, and coordinating updates for future intakes.
