Lead Systems Engineer

In this role, you will play a crucial part in automating processes, optimising efficiency, and aiding our clients in their journey towards smart factories. 

Salary: Up to £60,000.00 per annum.

You will: 

• Full life Cycle PLC and SCADA Design Lead  - leading the design including architecting solutions from scratch, development, programming and testing with responsibility for resolution of hardware and software challenges for full scope of projects 
• Be able to think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions maximizing the automation of tasks and templates 
• Delegating tasks, resourcing engineers and setting acceptance criteria for technical work 
• Carry out some aspects of Project Management on Small and T&M Projects 
• Support Project Managers with the overall management of Large Project Teams and Project Delivery Programmes 
• Lead and co-ordinate on-site commissioning when required 
• Provide knowledge leadership in specific areas of expertise - supporting, coaching and training others in that area 
• Support and Mentoring for junior team members 

We are looking for:

• Hands-on work experience in PLC software development: Rockwell/Siemens 
• Hands-on work experience in SCADA software development: Ignition/Cimplicity
• Experience leading the design and implementation of projects in Operational Technology or similar industry
• Creating SCADA application from design documents i.e. layouts, style guides and standards 
• Degree level education preferred, or equivalent industrial experience 
• Good problem-solving skills (technical and client); experience of troubleshooting, fault finding and fixing in operational/production environments 
• Proficient in hardware configuration including rack layout, power consumption considerations, network parameters, VSD, FieldBus Network)
