Automation Engineer PTC Certified

At Redev Technology Ltd, we are looking for an Automation Engineer (PTC Certified) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects and contribute to the success of our organization.

You will be part of a talented software team based in UK, UAE, and ITA that works on mission-critical applications while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure IoT LTE gateways, such as Teltonika TRB140, with LTE/VPN connectivity to enable seamless communication between devices and the cloud.
• Utilize your expertise in PLCs to read IoT sensors using protocols like Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Step7, and OPC-UA. This includes developing and implementing efficient data acquisition strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop automation solutions that meet the organization's requirements and objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in automation technology, IoT, and PTC software solutions.
• Document project specifications, methodologies, and results accurately to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of automation tools and technologies to support the organization's automation initiatives.

• Mandatory: PTC certification in automation engineering.

• Mandatory: Strong experience in configuring IoT LTE gateways, such as Teltonika TRB140, and establishing secure connections using LTE/VPN protocols.

• Mandatory: Proficiency in reading IoT sensors using protocols like Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Step7, and OPC-UA, with a solid understanding of industrial communication protocols.

• Strongly appreciated: Linux (Ubuntu)

• Nice to have: Experience with DevOps practices, including Telegraph, Grafana, EMQX or other MQTT broker, InfluxDB, virtual machines and familiarity with firewalls such as FortiGate 80E/F.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering automation projects from concept to implementation.

• 1 IPSEC VPN account to access the company network and to browse the internet with no restriction from any country in the world during business trips.

• Depending on your residence and willingness we offer the maximum flexibility between a Permanent Contract within Italy domain or Contractor Agreement for Italy, the UK and UAE.

• Monthly rate is averaged @ 21 working days / month

• Yearly daily rate / bonus terms review.

Bonus:

• Every end of the year IF the team reaches its goals during the previous 4 quarters. Objectives are reviewed every 3 months (end of March, June, September, December).
