Job Title:      Cinematography Kit Assistant

Contract:  Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)

Salary/Benefits: £27,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive employee benefits package

Job summary

London Film School is seeking someone who is passionate about film and filmmaking and wants to play a key role in shaping the next generation of cinematographers and operators. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in camera and equipment for a global cohort of students, and to help them develop their awareness and confidence. You will combine technical ability, use problem solving skills and leverage your industry engagement and support students to achieve to the highest levels expected at the School.


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare, issue and maintain cinematography equipment.
  • Support students, staff and visiting industry professionals.
  • Carry out equipment checks and routine maintenance.
  • Manage kit room stock, records and storage systems.
  • Assist with equipment servicing and supplier liaison.
  • Support teaching, workshops and film productions.
  • Monitor developments in camera technology.
  • Promote safe working practices across the department.


If you have hands-on experience with professional camera equipment, a passion for filmmaking and a talent for keeping things organised, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be proactive, approachable and excited to support students as they develop their craft using industry-standard equipment.
