About LFS

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the team at Britain’s longest established and world-famous conservatoire for filmmakers. The school, now in its 70th anniversary year, is based in Covent Garden in the heart of London. LFS alumni include famous veterans (Mike Leigh, Michael Mann, Tak Fujimoto, Ann Hui) and famous younger filmmakers including Carla Simon, Oliver Hermanus, Babak Jalali, and the creator of End of the F**king World, Jonathan Entwistle.  


LFS is one of only two film schools in the UK to have been awarded ‘world leading’ specialist provider institution status and funding from the Office for Students.

Job Title:      Alumni Coordinator

Contract:  Permanent, 3 days per week  

Salary/Benefits: £30-32,500 per annum, pro-rata (dependent on experience)

Location: London WC2B 5PH, hybrid working 60-80% onsite

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting creative talent and building professional networks within the film, television and entertainment industries. The successful candidate will help create a vibrant and connected alumni community, ensuring graduates remain active advocates for the School throughout their careers; and liaising with our global alumnus community as we develop outreach and philanthropy programmes.


About you


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves building networks, creating engaging experiences and supporting emerging creative talent. You'll play a key role in enhancing our reputation, supporting student recruitment, strengthening industry links and helping graduates remain connected advocates of the School.


What you’ll do


  • Build lasting relationships with graduates across film, television, and digital media.
  • Re-work, research and upgrade our alumnus database.
  • Organise alumni involvement in events, showcases, graduations and industry activities.
  • Connect alumni, current students and industry partners to create valuable networking and career opportunities.
  • Develop, launch and manage a global LFS alumni ambassador scheme to strengthen the School's presence in key recruitment markets.
  • Support mentoring, volunteering, sponsorship and philanthropic initiatives that strengthen the School's community and impact.


What You'll Bring


You'll be a confident communicator with a natural ability to build meaningful relationships.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:


  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • An interest in or knowledge of film, television and the creative industries.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • A passion for education, film and developing creative talent.
  • Experience in communications, arts administration, alumni relations, higher education, or a related field.
