About Paybis

Paybis is a global crypto and fintech company founded in 2014, serving 1.5M+ users across 180+ countries. We are fully self-funded — which means a culture of pragmatic decision-making, responsible growth, and high team autonomy.

Our product portfolio includes a Retail Exchange (B2C), B2B on/off-ramp API solutions, and a mobile Crypto Wallet supporting 100+ cryptocurrencies.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager to support two fast-moving product streams.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You will lead through servant leadership — removing blockers, facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams toward self-organisation, and acting as a bridge between engineering and business stakeholders.

What You Will Do

•   Facilitate all Scrum/Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, reviews, and backlog refinement

•   Remove impediments and resolve cross-team blockers across 2–3 product teams

•   Track and report on team health metrics (velocity, burndown, capacity) to leadership

•   Act as a communication bridge between engineering teams and the CIO/stakeholders

•   Manage competing priorities between teams

•   Drive continuous improvement and foster a learning culture across teams

•   Maintain and improve processes in Jira; leverage AI-powered tooling and automation (Excel/Google Sheets)

Requirements

Must Have

•   2+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience (not just the title — real practice)

•   Confident practitioner of Scrum and Kanban methodologies

•   Advanced Jira skills: sprint planning, backlog management, metrics and dashboards

•   Experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams

•   Understanding of SDLC and technical development processes (no coding required)

•   English: Upper-Intermediate or higher (written and spoken)

•   Comfortable working with frequent priority changes and high autonomy

•   Strong facilitation skills: retrospectives, planning sessions, demos, daily standups

Nice to Have

•   CSM, PSM, or SAFe certification

•   Experience in fintech, crypto, or blockchain environments

•   Understanding of on/off-ramp processes

•   PM experience (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent)

•   Confluence documentation skills

•   Familiarity with KYC/AML processes

•   Product company background (vs agency/outsource)

Key Soft Skills

Servant Leadership: Teams are self-organised — you enable, not command

Ambiguity Tolerance: Crypto is volatile; priorities shift between streams

Stakeholder Communication: Translate engineering reality into business language

Conflict Resolution: Mediate resource competition between streams without escalation

Continuous Improvement: Retrospectives and process improvement are part of the DNA

Data-Driven Thinking: Report velocity, burndown and capacity — not gut feelings

What Success Looks Like

  • First 30 Days: Understanding the context and specifics of the work, building relationships with the team. No drop in OKR metrics.

  • First 90 Days: Full immersion in team and product processes. Stable resolution of all team blockers. People trust the SM and see them as an enabler.

  • First 6 months: Increased team velocity, sustained high team morale, and other OKR targets met.

What We Offer

•   Fully remote work with occasional team on-sites and company events

•   High autonomy and ownership — minimal bureaucracy

•   Performance-based bonus tied to individual results and company outcomes

•   A technically mature, fast-moving product environment in global fintech/crypto
