ENERGY PROCUREMENT AND UTILITIES ADMINISTRATOR

JOB PURPOSE

  • As Energy Procurement and Connections Administrator, you'll be directly involved in the facilitating and tracking the procurement of power and utilities used by the company.
  • The Energy Procurement and Utilities Administrator reports to the Energy Procurement and Utilities Manager, but the Energy Procurement and Utilities team will provide support across the wider business in line with strategy.
  • The Energy Procurement and Connections Administrator’s main responsibilities are defined below. However, it is acknowledged that this role will evolve as the business evolves and accountabilities are subject to change.


  • MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Facilitate, Track, and manage:
  • DNO Point of Connection Applications
  • DNO Point of Connection Acceptances
  • DNO supply upgrade applications
  • DNO supply relocation applications.
  • DNO disconnection applications for redundant electricity supplies
  • DNO Reinforcements to ensure connecting at earliest available dates.
  • Coordinating and managing administration of these applications. Maintaining clear and ongoing communication relating to these applications i.e. reinforcement costs, timescales, land rights etc.
  • Keeping on top of quote due back dates and chasing if required
  • Request and manage earthing data from DNO.
  • Updating, tracking, and maintaining databases to accurate and comprehensive overview of power applications.
  • Booking meter installations with Meter Operator Provider for new electricity supplies, in line with Programme of works, and ensuring they are completed, and meter serial number recorded.
  • Tracking refunds
  • Keeping trackers up to date with correct contacts and key dates.
  • Keeping internal IT filing systems up to date
  • Tracking DNO reinforcements to ensure we can connect at the earliest available date.
  • Gas relocation applications
  • Gas disconnection applications
  • Downloading HH / usage data
  • Requesting logger installs with electrical contractor and sending results to correct team.
  • Organizing site visits with DNO to check fuses etc., ensure all parties are aware through good communication.
  • Liaising and maintaining communication with Third Party Water Suppliers
  • Assist and track raised queries relating to Water Utilities with Third Parties

 


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience working with DNO/IDNO, energy suppliers, MOP and Data collector preferable.
  • Good communication, internal and external, phone, email, teams, in person.
  • Analytically minded, attention detail, data integrity.
  • Confident, as you will be dealing with a wide range of positions.
  • Problem solving.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where reaction time is key.
