Live Camera Operator (Yorkshire County Cricket Club)

As we build up for an exciting 2024 season, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club are looking to recruit a number of casual Live-Streaming Staff to help our Marketing team throughout the season. The Marketing team are responsible for the live streaming of all non-televised domestic matches at Headingley Cricket Ground. Alongside Headingley Cricket Ground, they’re responsible for live streaming Yorkshire and Northern Diamonds at affiliate grounds such as Scarborough or York Cricket Club. Primarily the role will involve live camera operation to provide viewers with a first-hand look at the cricket action and working with the Vision Mixer to capture the happenings within the stadium pre-match and during play. The live stream is broadcast free on the Club’s YouTube channel to viewers around the world and presented on the stadium screens for T20 fixtures. This role will be a fixed term position throughout the season and will be based at Headingley Cricket Ground and may include travel to Scarborough and/or York.

What this role will include:

• Live camera operation during matches to provide viewers with a first-hand look at the cricket action during the hours of play in all formats of the game (County Championship, T20, One-Day) for the men’s and women’s teams.
• Capture shots assigned by the Vision Mixer in-between action periods to keep the viewers engaged which could be in relation to the live commentary.
• Support the marketing team in the setup of camera stations, positioning and cable rigging and de-rigging before play and at the close of play.
• Operate outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Comply with the Health and Safety Act 1974 and contribute towards a culture where safe working is actively promoted and implemented.

Previous camera operation experience is not essential but is desirable for the role.
