Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You will lead the design and development of complex electrical systems across a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

• Lead the electrical design process from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Produce and review electrical schematics, SLD, BCDs & Cable schedules, P&ID, I/O Schedules, layouts, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, software, and project engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BS7671, IEC standards).
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design, ideally in building services, or manufacturing sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar CAD tools.
• Experience in designed electrical LV power & distribution
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable.

The working hours for this position are 37.5 hours per week, from 7:30am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 1pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, and we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
