Description

Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a Retail Assistant for its Collection and Pro Shop Retail outlets.

 

The Role

The Senior Retail Assistant will report to Retail Manager. He/she will assist with providing excellent customer service to external and internal customers.


Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Checks inventory regularly to ensure all available products are adequately stocked and available for purchase
  • Prepares bills/receipts and collects payments for goods that customers purchase.
  • Assists the Retail Manager in the area of Inventory management.
  • Handles opening and closing of the retail store as directed by the Retail Manager.
  • Maintains an accurate Customer Request Log and notifies the Retail Manager.
  • Ensures that all merchandise is immaculately presented according to standard.
  • Maintains a clean, well-organized back store area.
  • Monitors and updates sales display as required.
  • Performs a variety of administrative duties.
  • Up-sells available merchandise to maximize profit.
  • Ensures guest are well attended, assisting with product selection and making recommendations.
  • Schedules starting times, check-in for golfers and collects greens fees and other golf fees.

 

RequirementsOOur ideal candidate must possess:


  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • A good secondary school education with CXC passes specifically in English and Mathematics.
  • A positive and cheerful attitude as well as strong verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for meeting and greeting the customer’s and executing company’s objectives.
  • Commercial drive and awareness with the ability to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Patience and the ability to listen and understand a customer's request.
  • The ability to solve minor challenges quickly and effectively.

 

The successful candidate must consistently maintain the highest standard of service and operational efficiency within all areas of responsibility.
