Customer AML Monitoring Specialist

• Conduct ongoing and enhanced due diligence for customers. Verify customer information, including identification, ownership structures, and business relationships.
• Assist in preparing for regulatory audits and reviews related to AML compliance.
• Participate in testing of new or updated AML monitoring tools and systems to ensure effectiveness and accuracy.
• Investigate alerts, both internal and external, conducting thorough analyses.
• Perform investigations on customer accounts, ensuring compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations.
• Monitor customer accounts in real-time, identifying and flagging suspicious patterns.
• Handle suspicious accounts and events following established company procedures.
• Monitor and analyze customer activity, preparing relevant reports for regulatory purposes.
• Assess and escalate cases as necessary to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate closely with IT, AML, and Payment teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues effectively.
• Interact with customers and draft responses to internal and external inquiries.

• Possess an analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience in a financial institution is required.
• Relevant courses and certifications will be considered advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English.
