The Director of UK will be responsible for launching and scaling a fully integrated payment solution aimed at businesses in the UK market, with a vision to expand into Europe. This role will oversee strategic market entry, regulatory compliance, partnership development, and operational management, driving the company’s growth in the EMI sector.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

1.     Serving as a main representative of Moneliq in UK:

·        Acting as the face of the company to UK-based shareholders, customers, and partners, especially for publicly facing roles

·        Acting on behalf of the company in market expansion, partnerships, and customer relations to enhance the company’s presence in the UK market

·        Serving as the primary point of contact with UK regulatory authorities

2.     Market Strategy and Expansion:

·        Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the UK launch of the payment solution, aiming for dominance in the EMI sector.

·        Plan for subsequent expansion into European markets, leveraging the UK as a launchpad for regional growth.

·        Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and potential challenges, especially considering post-Brexit regulatory landscapes.

3.     Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

·        Ensure the company’s operations align with UK financial regulations and EMI standards, focusing on compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

·        Establish robust fraud prevention, risk management, and data protection measures within the platform to enhance security and trustworthiness.

4.     Product and Service Localization:

·        Work closely with product and IT teams to tailor the multi-currency, multi-channel payment solution for UK-based businesses.

·        Oversee integration efforts to ensure seamless functionality of APIs, payment systems, and risk management tools for local and international transactions.

5.     Operational Oversight:

·        Lead and manage the UK operations team, including customer support, compliance officers, and risk analysts, to deliver a high-quality service to UK business clients.

·        Monitor and optimize internal processes to ensure smooth integration with the core banking system and the newly developed internet banking system.

6.     Business Development and Customer Acquisition:

·        Develop sales and marketing strategies aimed at building a client base among UK businesses seeking all-in-one payment solutions.

·        Collaborate with marketing teams to increase brand awareness and position the company as a premier EMI provider in the UK.

7.      Partnership Development:

·        Forge strategic alliances with UK banks, fintech firms, and payment processors to enhance the platform's capabilities and reach.

·        Identify potential partnerships that can help the company expand its payment options, including local payment methods and cross-border transfers.

8.     Innovation and Growth Mindset:

·        Support the company’s commitment to in-house innovation by working closely with the IT team to improve the internet banking system.

·        Champion a culture of sustainable growth and continuous improvement, helping the company establish itself as a resilient, leading player in the payment solutions market.


MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

•      Extensive experience in the financial services, fintech, or payments industry is essential, particularly within companies operating under Electronic Money Institution (EMI) regulations or similar.

•      Proven track record in leading market entry initiatives or scaling operations in a highly regulated market, ideally within the UK or Europe.

•      Solid experience with UK regulatory bodies (e.g., FCA) and knowledge of compliance standards, including EMI, PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2), GDPR, KYC/AML, and CTF.

•      Experience in managing risk, especially in payment solutions and financial products, with a focus on implementing fraud prevention and AML policies.

•      Familiarity with product development and technical integration, particularly in payment solutions, and core banking systems.

•      Strong background in forming strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, or payment providers, and driving business development initiatives.

•      Demonstrated success in leading and managing cross-functional teams, particularly in compliance, operations, and product development.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•      Experience with High-Growth Fintech Startups: Working in a high-growth or startup environment would be beneficial, given the company’s rapid expansion goals.

•      International Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the European market would be advantageous, given the planned expansion beyond the UK.

•      Advanced Degree: An MBA, or relevant graduate degree in business, finance, or technology, is a plus but not mandatory.
