About the role

The Regional General Manager: Gauteng serves as the senior leader responsible for overseeing all provincial operations and acting as an extension of the Head Office within the province. This role ensures the effective implementation of company strategy across HR, Sales, Marketing, Hotspots, Network, Technical Operations, Warehousing and Community Engagement.


The Regional General Manager will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with company standards and policies, and report on the overall performance of the province.

What you will be doing

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Implement the company’s strategic objectives at provincial level, ensuring alignment with national priorities.
  • Translate strategic goals into clear operational plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Drive organisational performance and efficiency through structured execution and accountability.
  • Operational Management
  • Oversee all head office functions operating within the province, including:
  • Human Resources: Ensure compliance with HR policies, performance management, and talent development.
  • Sales & Marketing: Drive growth initiatives, market visibility, and revenue performance across all product lines including Fixed line, Hotspot and B2B. .
  • Hotspots & Network Operations: Ensure service reliability, infrastructure readiness, and rapid response to technical issues.
  • Technical Operations: Oversee field teams, logistics, and technical performance metrics.
  • Community Engagement: Strengthen brand presence and stakeholder relationships in local communities.
  • Foster collaboration between functions to achieve seamless service delivery and operational synergy.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, legal, and regulatory requirements within the province.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
  • Report regularly on risk, compliance, and performance to the Head Office.
  • Performance and Reporting
  • Develop, monitor, and report on provincial KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Analyse business results and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Implement corrective action plans where performance gaps are identified.
  • Leadership and People Management
  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams across the province.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop managers and staff to build internal capability.
  • Hands-On Execution
  • Be actively involved in daily operations where needed — from site visits to stakeholder meetings.
  • Model adaptability and humility by engaging effectively at all levels — from executive management to field technicians.


Minimum requirements (qualifications, skills and experience, other)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ senior management experience overseeing multiple business functions.
  • Proven track record of implementing strategy and improving operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of HR, Sales, Technical, and Community operational dynamics.
  • Experience in governance, compliance, and risk management reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
