We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Documentation Writer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will gain a deep understanding of our products and services, translating complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure user-friendly documentation that enhances the overall user experience. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets the needs of our company and customers, utilizing state-of-the-art technical writing practices.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our products and services, translating complex information into simple, polished and engaging content
  • Write user-friendly content tailored to the needs of our target audience, ensuring user success through clear and concise language
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with development and support leads to identify documentation needs, revise and amend content, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
  • Monitor and update documentation based on different projects and new product releases
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, error-free and compliant with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Oversee, revise, and maintain documentation to ensure it is always valid and up-to-date 

YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or relevant technical field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience as technical writer with experience in creating documentation relevant to machinery directives and proficient handling of XML tools for documentation creation
  • Proficiency in LaTeX for documentation creation
  • Knowledge of aviation terminology, regulations and industry standards is highly valued.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English, incl. Technical English
  • Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
  • Permission to work in Switzerland is a must

A PLUS WOULD BE:

  • Previous project management experience
  • Familiarity with aircraft / simulator system, maintenance procedures and engineering concept
