Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the driving sales growth within a specific geographic area, managing client relationships, lead a team of Field Sales Managers, Develop and implement sales strategies, analyze market trends, and ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Developing and implementing sales strategies tailored to the assigned territory, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Team Leadership & Development: Managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of Field Sales Managers, providing training and support to improve their performance.
- Market Analysis & Intelligence: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Providing accurate sales forecasts, tracking performance against targets, and reporting on key performance indicators to the Regional Managers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with marketing, product development, and other teams to ensure alignment and optimize sales performance.
- Product Knowledge & Promotion: Demonstrating products, providing training, and ensuring effective product presentation to clients.
- Meeting Sales Targets: Consistently meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets.
- Territory Management: Managing the assigned territory effectively, including customer appointments, lead management, and business intelligence.
- Customer Service: Addressing dealer and customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of sales activities, customer & dealer interactions, and market information.
- Staying Updated: Keeping up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and sales techniques.
