About the Role


The Social Listening & Content Specialist will serve as the cultural and shopper-trend radar for the Integrated Demand Team. This individual will monitor social conversations, emerging behaviors and category signals to identify opportunities for Unilever brands to respond quickly and relevantly within the Walmart ecosystem.


The role will also help coordinate brand and creator content, connecting cultural insights to media, Walmart.com and retail marketing opportunities that can influence shopper engagement and conversion.

This role will be employed by WPP Unite and embedded within Unilever’s team.



Role & Responsibilities

The Digital Commerce Content & Social Insights Specialist supports the growth of Unilever's Beauty & Personal Care business on Walmart.com by helping deliver best-in-class digital content and identifying emerging shopper and cultural trends that can improve performance.


This role combines day-to-day digital shelf execution with social listening and trend monitoring. The individual will work closely with Digital Commerce, Retail Marketing, Brand, Media, and agency partners to ensure product content is optimized, shopper-relevant, and reflective of emerging consumer interests.

Digital Shelf Management

  • Support the execution and optimization of product content across Walmart.com.
  • Manage content updates, launches, audits, and maintenance through Walmart Supplier One and related content platforms.
  • Ensure product pages are accurate, complete, and compliant with Walmart content standards.
  • Help identify and resolve content issues that impact discoverability, shopper experience, or conversion.


Content Optimization

  • Support digital shelf optimization efforts through SEO, search insights, content health reporting, and performance analytics.
  • Assist in updating product titles, descriptions, attributes, imagery, and enhanced content to improve discoverability and conversion.
  • Monitor content performance and provide recommendations to improve shopper engagement.
  • Partner with agency and internal teams to support content testing and continuous improvement initiatives.


Social Listening & Trend Monitoring

  • Monitor social, cultural, category, and shopper trends using social listening and trend-monitoring tools.
  • Identify emerging conversations, behaviors, and consumer interests relevant to Unilever brands and Walmart shoppers.
  • Share actionable trend insights with Digital Commerce, Retail Marketing, and Brand teams.
  • Help identify opportunities to leverage relevant creator, social, and cultural content within Walmart shopper touchpoints.


Reporting & Insights

  • Analyze Walmart Scintilla, content health, search, and digital shelf performance data.
  • Prepare recurring performance reports and dashboards.
  • Track competitive activity and category trends to identify opportunities and inform recommendations.

  • Support business reviews by providing content performance and shopper insight summaries.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in eCommerce, digital content, retail media, shopper marketing, social media, social listening, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital commerce, content optimization, and consumer trends.
  • Familiarity with Walmart.com, retail media, digital shelf analytics, or eCommerce content management platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with data and identifying insights from performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Curiosity about culture, social trends, shopper behavior, and emerging commerce opportunities.


Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $45,000 - $65,000

*exact compensation will be determined based on individual experience
