Lanes-I, a rapidly growing Utilities infrastructure provider in the UK, is seeking an experienced Gas Mains & Services Supervisor to join our team. With a network of depots across London and the Southeast of England, our mission is to revolutionize traditional build methods, delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient infrastructure projects.
Key Role:
As a Gas Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing mains and service layers across Hampshire/Berkshire. Your focus will be on the effective delivery of gas mains and services, ensuring financial viability, maintaining quality work, safety, and meeting our client's evolving needs with minimal inconvenience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee deep excavations, gas mains and service installs, and reinstatement.
- Ensure all projects comply with CDM Regulations and are executed safely, per designs, and are well documented.
- Manage on-site resources, including plant and materials.
- Liaise with clients and local authorities.
- Manage day-to-day operations of mains and service layer teams.
- Collaborate with our planning team.
- Provide technical knowledge and support.
- Conduct site meetings, routine inspections, and engineer competency checks.
- Address technical issues and handle escalations.
- Oversee staff training and development.
Requirements:
- Proven supervisory experience in civils deep excavation, gas mains (up to 12"), and service replacement.
- In-depth knowledge of technical standards and specifications in the gas industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on people and performance management.
