Description
The Laundry Attendant performs all stages of the linen and garment processing including, inspecting, sorting weighing, loading, off- loading the washer, dryers and dry cleaning machines. Uses steam press, hot heads, steam tunnel and dry cleaning machines to process the linen inventories necessary for the seamless running of the Housekeeping department and the Hotel at large. The Laundry Assistant should be knowledgeable of all chemical usage in the laundry.
Preferred Knowledge/Qualifications
A secondary level education;the ability to understand , read , write and speak English proficiently
Knowledge of laundry procedures and operational functions of all washers and dryers
Knowledge of dry-cleaning and pressing procedures
Knowledge of chemicals and the related hazards used in the washing clothing and fabric.
