Join our South West Quantity Surveying Team, where your role will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive surveying services across a mixed range of projects and sectors, including commercial, residential, public, and private work. We’re looking for someone with experience in a Construction Consultancy environment who’s keen to get involved in high-profile schemes that are helping shape the future of the South West. Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are:


  • Serve as an integral member of the Ward Williams QS team, supporting in the delivery of projects from inception to completion.
  • Working towards a professional qualification, such as MRICS, with a clear commitment to achieving chartered status.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a consultancy environment within the construction industry, working as part of a Quantity Surveying team..
  • Experience across sectors, including residential (essential) and commercial development/infrastructure.
  • Capable of independently managing projects at any RIBA stage (pre-contract/post-contract).
  • Proficient in JCT contracts (essential) and familiar with NEC contracts (desirable).
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Skilled in analysing and presenting complex data in an understandable format.
  • Awareness of B Corporation objectives, social value, and sustainable construction principles.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and cost management software (e.g., CADMeasure, iTWO costX).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, fostering a motivated and productive environment.
