Description

We’re looking for a dynamic and highly organised Associate Production Manager to join our busy production team. Working across a range of projects — from large-scale West End shows to UK tours and regional productions, as well as occasional special events — you’ll help turn bold creative ideas into thrilling live experiences.


This is a hands-on role that combines practical production management with creative problem-solving. You’ll work closely with designers, directors, and creative teams to take projects from the earliest design stages through to full delivery on stage, ensuring that every show runs smoothly, safely, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities



Finance

·     Oversee all company accounts and investments.

·     Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts.

·     Manage cash flow by tracking transaction and regularly reviewing internal reports.

·     Suggest updated and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.

·     Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported.

·     Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.

·     Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.

·     Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.

·     Review all financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.

·     Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.

·     Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.

·     Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.


General

·     Maintain excellent department archives.

·     To ensure the effective flow of information within, across the department and projects.

·     To always implement and track sustainability within the department and model best practice in terms of environmental responsibility.

·     Build and manage excellent relationships with external contractors and suppliers.

·     To engage and contribute meaningfully to development of Production Solutions Group and its subsidiaries Business Plan, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan and Sustainability Plan.

·     To maintain good relations with industry bodies representing the company’s interest within trade union negotiations or other environments in the sector.

·     To uphold and embody the Company’s policies, including but not limited to our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy, Dignity at Work policy and Health and Safety policy.

·     Any other reasonable duties that arise to fulfil the objectives of Production Solutions Group and its subsidiaries.

Requirements

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

·     Proven working experience of working in a finance team.

·     Proven working experience of using Sage 50 Account, Sage HR & Sage Payroll.

·     Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

·     Proven experience of running payroll.

·     Proven experience of working within a muli-cost centre environment.

·     Preparation of regular management accounts, including variance analysis.

·     Ability to prioritise.

·     Highly numerate

 

Desirable

·     Demonstrable ability to find cost savings as a natural part of day to day tasks.

 

Skills

Essential

·     A sound understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality, including the ability to manage confidentiality barriers with both internal and external stakeholders.

·     Ability to work within an office environment as part of a dynamic and skilled team.

·     Understanding of, and the ability to, maintain financial information.

·     Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.

·     Good written and verbal communications.

·     Good time management skills with ability to prioritise.
