To work with a team of staff and volunteers to ensure that visitors, patients and relatives are welcomed in an excellent and professional manner and that all reception areas operate a high-quality service at all times. 


This role is predominantly based at our Sutton Coldfield site. Occasional cover including weekend work may be required at our Whittington site, such as holiday and absence cover.

 

Provide a high standard of customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by ensuring that the telephone is answered promptly and professionally, and calls are re-directed appropriately, with empathy, whilst providing a first-class support service to meet the operational requirements of the hospice.

 

Empathy towards the Hospice movement and an understanding of the value and quality of the service provided by St Giles Hospice is implicit.

•       Good level of Maths and English

•       Proven experience of working in a busy environment and dealing with people sensitively

•       Experience of working in a customer service based role dealing with queries via telephone, email and face to face

•       Experience of using telephone systems and transferring calls internally
