About the Role

Due to continued business growth and expansion within our manufacturing operations, we are seeking two experienced and motivated Team Leaders to join our THV Manufacturing team in Leeds.


The successful candidates will provide day-to-day leadership to the THV Sewing Team, ensuring delivery of manufacturing targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, employee engagement, and safety.

Key Responsiblities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop production technicians to approved work instructions and GMP standards.
  • Manage and coordinate daily production activities to ensure schedules and operational targets are achieved.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, coaching, performance management, return-to-work meetings, and team development activities.
  • Handle employee relations matters in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Monitor and maintain production schedules in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Materials Management, Shipping/Receiving, and R&D teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate ERP system data for work-in-progress and production inventory.
  • Track, analyse, and report team KPIs and support improvement plans with the Area Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all Quality Management System (QMS), GMP, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Support new product introduction activities alongside ongoing manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Contribute to production planning and resource management activities.
  • Support additional duties as reasonably requested by management.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing or leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and foster employee engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Hands-on approach with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving capability.
  • Previous experience working within a GMP-regulated environment, ideally within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.
  • Strong understanding of ISO and cGMP regulated manufacturing operations.
  • Experience using ERP systems and production planning tools is advantageous.
  • Medical device implant manufacturing experience is preferred.

Education & Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • ILM Level 3/5, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent leadership qualification advantageous.
