Overview

As a Senior Manager you will operate as a key part of the leadership team within the line of service as well as across the practice. You will provide quality client services, meeting business objectives, lead business development, lead the line of service and the teams in their development, and be proactively involved with across the practice in these areas.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading management role with team in delivery of outsourced accounting and tax compliance clients
  • Use of specialist industry knowledge and skills to oversee engagements and line of service
  • Efficient and effective delivery of engagement on time and on budget, and in compliance with quality and risk standards including ISQC1 and firm policies and procedures, in accordance with exceptional client service
  • Recruitment, and implementation of firm coaching and training strategy for the line of service
  • Lead opportunities for improvement and development of solutions internally and externally, including digital solutions
  • Leading role in assisting coaching and training for across the line of service
  • Take responsibility for personal development and growth
  • Work effectively as part of a team as a leader, and active development of knowledge sharing and thought leadership
  • Motivate, encourage and actively bring the best out of the team and each member
  • Lead business development activities and ensure active on social media platforms
  • Building and maintaining a network internally and externally, and staying aware of industry trends, and effective communication of industry related matters
  • Development of thought leadership and participation in networking events
  • Comemrcial negoitaion, opportunity identificiation, opportunity conversion and increasing business accumen
  • Ensure business performance aligns with strategic objectives, active management of work flow and resources to ensure delivery of current and anticipated demands
  • Be a role model for staff displaying traits and characteristics of exceptional leadership, and continuous improvement in these areas
  • Leading role in business opportunities across the business, actively working with other lines of services, offices and business partners
  • Set the tone from the top in ethics, risk, quality and behaviours

 

It is expected you would have a highly competent understanding / knowledge of the following technical areas:

  • Thai Revenue Code, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, specific business tax, value added tax and stamp duty 
  • Thailand’s Customs duty system 
  • Civil and Commecial Code
  • Personal Data Protection Act
  • Foreign Business Act
  • Investment Promotion Act
  • Thai Labor Protection Act
  • Corporate structuring and FBL, BOI, company registration
  • Thailand’s tax and non-tax incentive regimes, including BOI and IBC
  • Thailand’s income tax treaties 
  • OECD international tax guidelines including BEPS
  • Experience of preparation and review of tax returns
  • Assisting clients with tax audits by the Thai Revenue Department 
  • Experience of preparing tax due diligence reports 
  • Experience of preparing Transfer Pricing documentation, including benchmarking, Local File and Master File
  • Tax planning advice to companies setting up business in Thailand, including BOI and IBC applications 
  • Tax structuring for M&A transactions and internal reorganizations, including tax due diligence 
  • Transfer pricing documentation including benchmarking 
  • Review of corporate income tax returns 
  • Assisting clients with tax audits by the Thai Revenue Department 


Qualifications

Minimum

  • 10-12 years’ experience in relevant field
  • University degree
  • Post graduate qualification
  • Good English skills

Desirable

  • Advanced English language skills
