Description

The Campaigns Lead is an ambitious, creative, enthusiastic individual, who strongly believes in our mission and principles and is excited by creating impact through campaigns. They will be responsible to help create and spearhead Islam21c’s campaigns and deliver agreed aims and objectives.   

Key Responsibilities

  • The candidate will create a team of staff and volunteers, manage them, train them, and hold them to account. 
  • We are looking for someone to come in and significantly improve our role as a campaigning organisation. We want to make sure that we are working on issues that relevant to our audience. 
  • As Campaigns Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the progress of the organisation's campaigns. 
  • Helping to facilitate our campaigns and ensuring their completion. 
  • Presenting new ideas and checking feasibility of campaigns 
  • Collecting data and presenting trends and progress 
  • Responsible for maintaining and populating data systems associated with worker led campaigning 
  • Coordinate organisation staff and officers to recruit employees for key campaigns 
  • Coordinate volunteers supporting in campaigns 
  • Provide support for the day-to-day operation of our campaign function  
  • Maintain communication including regular communication with editorial staff and support with running campaigns 

Person Specification

  • Degree is desirable 
  • Able to travel/network 
  • Front-facing, charismatic, able to be a face for islam21c’s campaigns 
  • Well organised and organising others 
  • Sincerity, a sincere person who values what we do, believes in where we are wanting to go and upholds the pristine values of Islam. 
  • Trustworthy & well organised - you’re able to applies good judgement, knowing how to budget your time, prioritise and manage multiple work streams and demonstrates attention to accuracy & detail. 
  • Results-focused, with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, to assess priorities and multi-task and work independently when necessary 
  • Dedicated. You have high levels of motivation and are happy to burn the midnight oil to make things happen 
  • Proactive - You are curious, take initiative to improve processes, and take personal accountability for the work you do. You are a team player and a self-starter, able the thrive in a fast-paced, remote and results-oriented environment, independently and collaboratively as a team member. 
  • Attached to high standard of quality, balanced with the ability not to let "perfect" get in the way of "good." 
  • Detail-oriented, with a knack for noticing discrepancies. 
  • Great with people – You have a strong team ethic; you know how to build and maintain healthy relationships and are able to work collaboratively with creative teams and external agencies to successfully meet deadlines. You give constructive feedback and are open to receiving feedback.
