AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group have an exciting opportunity for a Qualifications and Assessment Developer.

 

Location: Remote

Salary: £33,075 - £39,029 pa

Contract: Permanent. Part time - 22.5 hours pw

Closing Date: Wednesday 20th August 2025 at midday

We are looking for an exceptional person to work as part of the Qualifications and Assessment Development Team and manage the lifecycle of AIM Group qualifications and components, assessments, learning resources and support materials for sale and use by AIM Group recognised centres and other customers .

What you will be doing

Qualifications and Assessment Development 

Work with the business development team and Director for Strategic Growth and Customer Excellence , to submit for approval , proposals for qualification development 


Develop, evaluate and review, qualifications, specimen assessment materials, learning support materials, assessments, online learning and assessment packages and other products, as determined by relevant company strategies and plans. 


Work with the Qualifications and Assessment Manager and other staff members to ensure effective and cost-efficient use of resources in the context of the agreed business, qualification and assessment strategies 


Maintain an accurate and up to date understanding of educational policy, drivers, initiatives and developments to inform the development, review, redevelopment and when appropriate funding of AIM Group qualifications  


Engage with local, regional and national initiatives to maintain a professional understanding of the market and current issues affecting qualifications  


Marketing and Promotion

Contribute to the marketing and promotional activities of AIM Group  


Work with other members of the staff team to update customers on relevant issues and developments 


Contribute to the promotion of components of assessment, qualifications, learning support materials, assessments, e-learning and assessment packages and other products 


Contribute to the production of material for the AIM Group website, e-newsletters, email shots and other publications and publicity 


Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities by engaging with customers, employers, and other partners and stakeholders 


Customer Experience 

Provide support to other directorates on the implementation of services to support the continuous improvement of products, systems and procedures 


Facilitate where appropriate queries relating to AIM qualification and assessments  


Contribute to the monitoring of the Risk Register and Issues log by recording all incidents  


Support the Head of Customer Experience to achieve an outstanding customer experience for AIM customers, colleagues and external stakeholders. 


 

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you have the following essential requirements/qualifications:


Qualified to level 5 or above

Understanding of cross sector post 16 education and lifelong learning

Knowledge of awarding body and regulatory structures

Understanding of credit based qualifications and assessment development

Proven ability of initiating and maintaining working relationships

Understanding of current funding legislation

Experience of networking with key stakeholders

Understanding of current regulatory strategy

Appropriate ICT skills


Having experience/knowledge of the below would be desirable but not essential:


Knowledge of current education legislation

Knowledge of the current marketplace for AIM Group provision

Experience of meeting business targets

Experience of developing qualifications and supporting materials

Experience of engaging with employers to develop/deliver qualifications

Experience of developing on line learning materials
