Description

Softwerx is one of the leading Microsoft Security Practices in the UK and as part of a considerable and ambitious growth strategy, we are now seeking an experienced Marketing Manager who can help take our business to the next level.


The successful candidate will have likely been involved in helping drive a similar business through a significant growth curve, ideally in the cybersecurity industry and from an MSP (Managed Services Partner) perspective.


Importantly, the role will also include building an awareness of our flagship product – a leading 24x7 ‘eyes-on’ Microsoft Managed Detection and Response solution called secure365.


The role includes an opportunity to shape and drive the marketing strategy across the business, as well as manage marketing operations, including managing an internal team and external agencies. 

Location & Hours

  • This is a hybrid role working from primarily home with a day or two in the Cambridge office each week.
  • 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:30

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and create strategies that help position the business as the leading Microsoft Security Practice in Europe
  • Contribute at a senior management level to the branding and marketing strategy of the business
  • Responsibility for planning, creating and executing campaigns to expand our reach and potential customer pipeline
  • Identify opportunities to scale business, acquire new customers, and drive customer retention
  • Operational management of a small in-house team and multiple specialist marketing agencies covering our digital footprint, content, publicity, email marketing, initiatives/awards and events
  • Work with other key functions and departments (e.g. supporting lead generation with Business Development Team) to ensure a consistent and scalable approach
  • Execute high-converting marketing strategies based on data analytics and produce clear and meaningful metrics to the board

Essential Experience

  • +5 years’ experience in marketing in B2B/technology/cybersecurity field
  • Proven success in developing B2B marketing plans and campaigns
  • Experience managing B2B events including webinars and in-person events
  • Experience managing B2B digital presence including website and social media
  • Strong project management, multitasking, quality control and decision-making skills
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Experience of managing external agencies
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • Experience of the cybersecurity industry
  • Knowledge of Microsoft security portfolio
  • Established industry contacts

Package

  • Competitive Market Salary £45,000 - £60,000 (experience dependent)
