Hours of Work: 20 hours per week, 5 hours per day, 4 days per week, 40 weeks per year


Type: Permanent, Part Time


Salary:  £12,000.00 per annum

Purpose of the job

A Business Development Representative (BDR) generates new sales opportunities and adds qualified leads to the sales funnel. This kind of outbound sales representative is responsible for prospecting, following up, and passing on qualified leads to other sales agents who will convert them into new customers.

 

As a result of new market growth opportunities in the security sector and the successful development of a compelling product portfolio, Softwerx is now looking to expand its team of BDR’s to help in the generation of new business opportunities across the business.

 

All basic product and service training provided. 


Duties & Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Play an important role in the execution of marketing campaigns to generate and progress new business opportunities.
  • Make B2B telephone calls to targeted prospects to introduce, progress and nurture new business opportunities.
  • Use other channels and tools such as Email, LinkedIn and social media.

Team working

 

  • Liaise regularly with line manager and team members
  • Helping/providing cover for other team members as required
  • Attending team and other staff meetings
  • Supporting new team members and provide on-the-job training
  • Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager


 Communication and Liaison


  • Keep up-to-date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls)
  • Ensure all records are maintained and kept up-to-date according to company policies and procedures

 

Training and development

 

  • Monitor own work levels, progress and development
  • Undertake all core training and development programmes as required
  • Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan
