Head of Buying & Merchandising

Snag is looking for a Head of Buying & Merchandising to oversee SNAG's product strategy and execution. This role requires a strong commitment to developing size-inclusive product ranges across diverse markets. If you enjoy driving business growth through product then this is the role for you.

In this position, you'll build and lead a team focused on maximising sales performance and ensuring seamless product launches through effective stakeholder communication. Key responsibilities include navigating the critical path, assessing and mitigating risks, leveraging data analytics to inform strategic decisions, all while maintaining operational efficiency. This is a full-time position working fully remotely from home in the UK.

You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary ranges between £60,000 - £100,000 per year.

• Hire, direct and nurture a Buying and Merchandising team, focusing on driving increased sales across all trading regions
• Work closely with the NPD team (New Product Development) and the Marketing team to create and execute the most successful and profitable product plans
• Lead communication efforts with wider teams to ensure product launches are delivered smoothly and successfully
• Navigate and manage the critical path for product development and delivery
• Identify and apply relevant trends to inform buying and merchandising decisions
• Oversee sourcing activities across multiple countries

• Possess a strong background in driving results within a buying and merchandising context 
• Be adept at mitigating risk while maintaining a fast pace of work
• Have a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Have a history of building and leading successful teams
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of Snag, our customers, ethics, and trading regions
• Be capable of effectively managing the critical path for complex projects 
• Be able to identify and apply macro-trends to commercial decisions
• Have the ability to source products effectively across multiple countries
