If you are then an excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Production Operative to join a leading Animal Feed manufacturing business on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. You will work a continental shift pattern based on 24/7 working, which is 4 x 12 hour shifts days/nights on, followed by 4 days off.

Your responsibilities…
Reporting to the Team Leader/Site Manager, your duties will include but not limited to;
- Continuous monitoring of the feed production process using our DSL control system to achieve daily targets.
- Adhere to quality standards in order reach customer quality expectations as dictated by the Quality and Feed Safety system
- Weighments by hand of minerals and additives dictated by each individual formulation.
- Setting of raw material routing for incoming deliveries and recording.
- Filling using the front end loader of raw material bins from storage in the warehouse.
- Loading of finished feed vehicles and completing documentation.
- Completion of daily tasks to include cleaning and organising of production areas.
- Maintenance and replacement of consumable items associated with the production process such as dies, rollers, screens and beaters along with daily adjustments and lubrication of machines.
- Operation of our bagging and toting machine. These include but bagging into 25kg bags and into flexible IBC tote bags of finished feed for dispatch.
Person Specification…
Essential:
- Previous experience in milling and agricultural feed.
- Experience of production systems and procedures.
- Able to work on own initiative and demonstrate forward planning.
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to high health, safety and environmental standards.
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills in order to complete daily tasks.
- Punctuality is key to the role being part of such a small team.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexibility during our seasonal production demands.
- Self-motivation and ability to think fast on your feet.
Desirable:
- FLT and telehandler experience preferred but not essential as onsite training can be provided.
