We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join Africa Hub Risk Team and contribute to strategic decision-making across the organization, helping ensure sustainable growth and portfolio health in East African markets.
About the Team:
As the Regional Risk team within Africa operations, we safeguard portfolio quality, set smart credit policies, and provide insights that guide key business decisions. By anticipating risks and monitoring trends, we ensure Eleving grows sustainably and responsibly across East African markets.

What you will need:
- Proven experience in credit risk analysis (preferably – in consumer lending or leasing sector)
- Degree in economics, finance, mathematics, econometrics or related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Experience in working with SQL databases
- Knowledge or willingness to learn R and/or Python
- Proficiency in Excel
- Fluent English
- Can-do attitude, high sense of responsibility
What you will do:
- Provide data-driven business decisions regarding loan issuance process and rules
- Create predictive statistical models to support the most optimal lending strategy
- Build and support automated loan approval decision engines
- Through the credit rules and underwriting tools, maintain assigned loan portfolio risk indicators to comply with business strategy
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc loan risk reviews by extracting and combining loan portfolio information
- Escalate fraud cases, risk outliers, changing portfolio behaviour and potential risk drivers
