As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our team and contribute to our success.

 

Position Overview:

 

The Financial Accountant will have a broad remit across all aspects of financial accounting and reporting. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, compliance and integrity of financial records while supporting strategic financial objectives. 

 

The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

The person will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with key stakeholders as well as having the ability to work independently to meet timelines and deliverables. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Manage accruals, prepayments and journal entries
  • Prepare and submit VAT Returns and other statutory filings.


Budgeting & Forecasting

 

  • Support FP&A team in preparation for annual budgeting and monthly rolled forecasting.
  • Assist in working capital management and cash flow forecasting
  • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives and projects


Internal Controls & Compliance

 

  • Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance to internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory and audit requirements
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.


System and Process Improvement

 

  • Assist in maintaining and improving the finance systems
  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline financial processes


Experience & Qualifications

 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with proven experience in a broad financial accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering efficient and effective month end close processes
  • Advanced Excel and Analytical Skills
  • Audit background with industry experience is preferred


Experience & Qualifications


  • Qualified Accountant/Part Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with proven experience in a broad financial accounting role.
