E1 £37,341.30 to £43,878.00

plus, car allowance and mileage expenses

As a Retail Regional Manager at St Giles Hospice, you will be an integral part of the Retail senior leadership team. Reporting into the Head of Retail and working collaboratively to achieve Retail’s strategic direction of travel to increase profitability and financial contribution to the Hospice. The estate includes 22 shops and e-commerce operation with a turnover of approx. £3million which supports the overall income generation strategy.

 

The Retail Regional Manager is responsible for the delivery of their designated areas budget and the overall management of their team. You will maximise area sales through commercial decision making and implement new ideas based on sound analytical skills. A natural leader, you will have the ability to motivate and create a high-performance culture by coaching and strong performance management. An excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with strong customer service, financial and operations planning skills, you will also be able to manage a varied workload and to prioritise tasks effectively.

Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications

Desirable

·       Educated to A level standard or equivalent

·       NVQ level 2 in Retail or Customer Service or evidence of similar training


Knowledge and experience

Essential

·       At least 2 years’ experience relevant to the role

·       Significant knowledge and experience of recruiting and managing staff and or volunteers

·       Proven experience managing performance and HR policy within a retail environment

·       A proven ability to work within a team

·       Can demonstrate excellent retail management skills

·       Has good understanding of legal and H&S knowledge within a retail/charity environment

·       Have good IT skills, in particular the ability to use and disseminate information from a tilling system

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise

·       Have a high level of numeracy skills, to analyse performance against budgets and understand profit and loss

·       Demonstrates a strong commitment towards continued commercial development and a proven ability to bring new ideas to the table

·       Ability to conduct audits and compile management reports

·       An understanding of the charity environment
