Requirements

Key Activities & Accountabilities:

· Complete team estimate visits and produce priced estimates/schedules in line with clients SLA’s – This is the primary function of the surveyor, who will be measured on SLA compliance and schedule accuracy.

· Complete a planning for profit calculation on every project.

· Complete a risk assessment for every project

· Complete an ACM assessment of every property

· Complete a method statement when required (highlighted in risk assessment)

· Complete supplements for Repair Team

· Assist with the final account process

· Assist the Repair Team with site visits and PCM’s (however, this should not compromise achieve the surveying SLA’s).

· Great communication with customers and Repair Team to ensure the inception of the claim journey goes well.

· Cross selling products during the initial meeting.

· Assist the Ops Director and Claims Manager when necessary with tenders or holiday cover

· Ensure the effective use of all relevant resources i.e. people, finance and asset

· Responsible for keeping up to date with client process changes.

· Responsible for deputised surveyors for holiday cover and surge.

Specialist Knowledge:

· Essential

  • Knowledge and experience working within the refurbishment sector
  • Demonstrate the ability to work alone using initiative to deal with problems encounter and equally as part of an effective team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to manage job workloads and achieve targets
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to workload to complete deadlines
  • IT literate with experience of software packages
  • Experience of using databases and spreadsheets
  • Analytical approach to the estimating process


· Desirable

o Knowledge and experience in bespoke estimating software packages

o Knowledge and understanding of the various schedule of rates

o Experience of working on maintenance of domestic and commercial properties

o Experience of working within a similar role
