SAP VIM Functional Analyst

• Working closely with the SAP P2P Solution Analyst and SAP P2P Senior Solution Analyst to translate approved business requirements into SAP VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) functional designs and system configuration.
• Performing hands-on SAP VIM configuration and maintenance across the invoice lifecycle (e.g., invoice capture/intake channels, document types, workflow and approvals, business rules, validations, tolerances, duplicate checks, posting integration with SAP FI, and archive/attachment handling where applicable), following defined standards and best practices.
• Supporting incidents analysis when applicable, and analysing change requests, reproducing issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and proposing/implementing solutions (configuration changes or functional specifications for development).
• Supporting end-to-end process validation, including unit testing, SIT support, and UAT support; prepares test cases, executes tests, triages defects, and coordinates re-testing with delivery partners.
• Contributing to integration readiness by identifying upstream/downstream impacts for VIM (e.g., PO/GR information, vendor master data, IDoc/inbound mappings, Archivelink/attachments) and collaborating with technical/integration teams as needed.
• Maintaining high-quality documentation (configuration notes, functional specifications, test evidence, user guides, and training materials) to enable effective knowledge transfer and support.
• Supporting release and deployment activities by preparing cutover inputs and ensuring configuration transport readiness in line with release management processes.
• Participating in continuous improvement activities: identifies standardization opportunities, reduces manual effort, and improves controls and data quality across invoice processing.
• Staying updated on SAP VIM best practices and emerging SAP capabilities; actively shares knowledge within the P2P team.

• At least 3 years of experience as an SAP VIM Functional Analyst/Consultant (or similar role) with hands-on configuration and support responsibilities.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP VIM processes, including invoice capture, workflow/approvals, business rules/validations, and integration to SAP FI (invoice posting and exception handling).
• Experience translating business requirements into functional configuration, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
• Proven experience supporting testing cycles (unit/SIT/UAT), defect management, and go-live readiness.
• Ability to work effectively with outsourced delivery teams (in-and-out model) and internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences.
• Good planning and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
