THE ROLE

As the company expands, we are looking for motivated and seasoned Senior Business Development Director for US to expand the business through the sales of tech-enabled multilingual solutions to companies with translation and localization requirements. The role reports directly to the Chief Sales Officer based in NY. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast growing and industry leading global translation agency.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets for the US
  • Responsible for new business development from identified existing clients, using a consultative approach to present, negotiate and close new and repeat contracts
  • Oversee all contract negotiations for new business and renewals
  • Work closely with existing operations team to expand relationships and up sell language solutions to current clients and new opportunities.
  • Lead, develop, and train teams on value proposition, client engagement, and communication guidelines
  • Regularly meet existing clients and prospective clients and provide clear presentations of our solutions and value proposition
  • Attend and/or lead all QBRs
  • Responsible for forecasting and reporting
  • Provide regular pipeline, deal and prospecting activity reports to the CSO
  • Accountable for client satisfaction
  • Represent company at industry events to generate leads and promote solutions
  • Lead sales escalation for major accounts and for major recoveries
  • Lead, coordinate, train, and facilitate the pre and post sales process by working closely with end-customer, production and finance to ensure overall client satisfaction.
  • Report on competitive activities, industry trends and pricing
  • Partner with Director of Operations to ensure client alignment, satisfaction, and resource management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA or BS preferred although equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 10 years + relevant sales or translation industry experience preferred 
  • Fluent English and Ideally one other language, both spoken and written, are preferred for this position.

  • Effective interpersonal skills and proactive approach to the sales process.
  • Consistent willingness to achieve and exceed agreed objectives
  • Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, team environment
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Resourceful, ability to work both independently and as a team player and the ability to coordinate activities across company functions.
  • Excellent in-person and phone-based presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as necessary
