HR Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Providing exceptional admin support to the HR team including diary management, setting up interviews, booking meeting rooms, creating various letters, documents and spreadsheets and updating company systems.


Providing support to the HR team to ensure effective management of all people processes throughout the whole employee lifecycle, for example, offers of employment, induction documents, new starter files, probation reviews, relevant employment checks, leaver processes and conducting exit interviews.


Data entry keeping all HR systems and spreadsheets up to date and accurate on a regular basis.


Keeping all filing up to date and accurate, scanning and photocopying documents as and when required


Working with the HR team creating the monthly HR reports and ensuring these are accurate and up to date.


Drafting and proof reading documents and content for group communications


Running reports and extracting employee data for the HR team as and when required


Daily monitoring and management of the HR inbox and responding to emails and calls


Supporting recruitment campaigns, drafting role profiles, uploading roles to the company website and booking in and arranging interviews, note taking where appropriate at interviews and other HR related meetings


Providing admin support to managers and the HR team in relation to employee relations cases and projects as and when required.


Coordinating and setting up all new starter inductions, providing office tours and setting up new starters on all HR systems and ensuring all references and employment checks are completed


Supporting with all maternity/paternity/adoption/flexible working and associated paperwork 


Contributing to monthly payroll, inputting data, processing childcare vouchers, expenses and other benefits, running reports and updating spreadsheets as required and assisting with the administration of all other company benefits


Supporting internal learning sessions with diary management


Ensuring a successful and productive working relationship with all members of the HR team and other key stakeholders within the business to ensure effective delivery of HR activities


You will work with the HR Director to provide effective employee engagement initiatives, guidance, and support in managing different aspects of human resources in line with company policies


To be a positive member of the team ensuring all business needs and objectives are met whilst encouraging a positive culture and working environment.

Key Skills

You must have excellent attention to detail and strong IT skills and be comfortable with Excel and Word, Gmail and Google docs and other web based systems.


Proven administration skills.


Excellent organisational skills.


You will have a hard working, flexible and can-do attitude and be willing to get involved in all aspects of the HR team’s work.


You will also be exceptionally organised and able to manage a very busy workload and work on multiple items at a time.


Integrity and confidentiality is very important due to the nature of the role.


You will be an approachable person with excellent communication skills and willing to be out in the business talking to employees across all levels.


The successful candidate will work well independently as well as part of a team, be able to multitask effortlessly and prioritise their own workload.

A confident communicator able to deal with all aspects of HR, bringing ideas, communicating policies and information, challenging situations as appropriate.


Flexibility and adaptable to change.


Resilient and able to deal with challenges and difficult situations when required.


Knowledge of employment law and an understanding of HR processes is essential.


Knowledge of Sage HR/Team Tailor HR systems would be advantageous but not essential.
