Duties

The Senior Project Manager has overall responsibility of the EPC phase for PV and BESS projects, coordinating and working with the development, permitting, engineering and procurement teams through the pre-construction phase up to EPC NTP, ensuring project activities remain on schedule and within the project budget.. Directly managing the construction activities to deliver projects on-schedule and on-budget, ensuring 100% internal and external customer satisfaction. May manage multiple projects and associated project delivery staff or may be the primary project manager on a single large project.


Responsibilities


  • Compliance and monitoring of safety targets and quality goals on assigned projects.
  • Managing key deliverables from design, procurement, construction, budget, and schedule for assigned projects, from the development hand off to pre-construction through project EPC closeout.
  • Creating, overseeing and tracking all schedule requirements for assigned projects, from pre-construction through project close-out to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Managing construction contracts from RFP through contract execution, including tracking deliverables, schedules, invoicing, managing change orders, providing notices and dispute resolution, if required.
  • Working with the procurement team to order equipment including long lead items, negotiate and execute the contracts and review/approved associated invoices.
  • Coordinating internal and external resource availability and operational needs to ensure achievement of established project goals.
  • Managing schedule and cost lifecycle of assigned projects through project closeout
  • Working with procurement to negotiate and manage subcontracts, subcontractors change orders and review/approve their invoices.
  • Directing work of one or more assigned Construction Managers on a per project basis.
  • Effective oversight of multiple subcontractors and temporary leased installation labor on site.
  • Serving as the primary corporate representative to the customer if we’re providing 3rd party services, the local community, permitting agencies, and other project stakeholders /personnel.
  • Standing in for the Construction Manager in his/her absence.
  • Adhering to the Ecoplexus Safety, Quality, and Ethical Standards, the Lessons Learned process, and Performance Management programs, and contractual commitments.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across development, legal, and commercial finance teams.
  • Financial & Risk Management: Strong financial acumen, including project level budgeting, cost management, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Communication & Systems: Ability to facilitate complex business and technical meetings and proficiency in project management software or complex tracking systems.


Education and Experience

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in PV and BESS construction or operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management and/or construction of power generation, solar preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in construction/subcontractor contract and major equipment procurement negotiations and administration.
  • Superior project management skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Competent in Excel, Word, and Google drive
