Professionally Qualified:


  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or equivalent)
  • Masters in Landscape Architecture
  • 5–10 years’ experience delivering complex projects, ideally in private/public practice

 

 Technically Proficient in:


  • AutoCAD, Keyscape, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Office
  • NBS Landscape & Create
  • Bonus: Revit experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policy, Building Regulations, construction detailing, and technical coordination

What you'll lead, own & deliver:

Project Delivery & Oversight


  • Lead medium-to-large scale landscape projects from concept to completion
  •  Define, manage, and delegate the scope of services across the team
  • Ensure compliance with QA standards, brief requirements, and budget
  • Attend and contribute to design team meetings and key client presentations
  • Monitor WIP, targets, invoicing, and forecast fees accurately
  • Oversee contracts, specs, and drawing packages with precision
  • Prepare planning applications and supervise external contributors
  • Audit works on-site and provide expert technical guidance during installations

 

Leadership & Mentoring


  • Lead and support a small design team (3–4 members)
  • Coach junior team members, set performance standards, and build capability
  • Take ownership of resource forecasting and workload planning
  • Participate in recruitment interviews and team development initiatives

 

Technical & Design Excellence


  • Sign off technical content and ensure coordination across consultants
  • Review hard and soft landscaping specifications, including soil science, drainage, materials, and planting
  • Guide selection and use of appropriate construction forms and contract administration
  • Maintain compliance with Building Regulations and CDM requirements
  • Provide time and cost estimates for all stages of design and delivery

 

Commercial & Client Interface


  • Prepare fee proposals and assist in bid development and delivery
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Confidently represent the business at meetings and in correspondence
  • Ensure project profitability through careful monitoring and proactive communication
