Overview of Role

To be the departments first line of specialist support advising members in all aspect of telecoms services. 

Working as an integral part of the telecoms team, assisting in achieving optimum member contract retention and identifying and proactively seeking new sales opportunities and solutions for members business requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities

Service and Support

·        To be the Specialist point of contact for AF members on Telecoms Technologies and services.

·        Support members with their general telecoms enquiries.

·        Promptly answer incoming hunt group calls.

·        Be the primary responder to incoming emails received into the telecoms inbox.

·        To raise purchase orders for telecoms products, services, and contracts.

·        To advise members on the range of products and services available from the telecoms portfolio

 

New Business & Growth

·        To prepare proposals for new contracts, and to secure new business.

·        Proactively seek and identify new business opportunities for the Telecoms category and the wider business.

·        Identify new telecoms opportunities, working with colleagues on target driven projects to develop new and existing product areas.

·        Take ownership of Growth Connection calls from list on AF CRM tool, accurately recording opportunities for future opportunities.

·        Proactively manage the telecoms lead pipeline seeking to deliver and exceed monthly growth KPIs.

 

Retention

·        Provide ad-hoc cost analysis of member usage and make tariff recommendations as appropriate.

·        To support the Telecoms Procurement Manager during renewals, updating AF and supplier CRM tools as required

 

Administration

·        Be responsible for the monitoring, prioritising, and allocating emails in the telecoms inbox.

·        Proactively manage W.I.P., communicating with suppliers and members as appropriate.

·        Ensure accurate member and contract records are maintained on AF and supplier CRM tools.

·        Liaise with the Sales Ledger team to resolve complex invoice queries.

·        Assist and contribute to on-going and process enhancement.

·        To support the Business Development Specialist with pro-active growth projects

Experience

·        Experience in B2B sales and using CRM to identify and capture business leads and opportunities.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
