Job Description is constantly working towards an engaged, productive group of employees, and we’re looking for a Talent & Human Resources (HR) manager to continue that happy tradition and exciting journey ahead. We are looking for a HR & Talent Manager to join and lead our Human Resources department. THe HR & Talent Manage responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process, designing company policies and setting objectives for the HR team. You will also help shape our employer brand strategy. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with HR technology, including payroll systems and Applicant Tracking Systems. 

Ultimately, the HR & Talent Manager manages the plans and processes that will identify, engage, develop, review and retain those individuals in the business who have the potential to be of greatest value to They will create the development path for people across the business. The HR & Talent Manager will explore ways to maximise the potential of our teams and identify current and future talent requirements for the business. You will use people data to help identify critical talent while supporting the retention and accelerated progression of those capable of excelling. You will also explore new ways to attract and work with diverse talent pools.

Core responsibilities

  • Overseeing the recruitment process to ensure it runs smoothly alongside our Recruitment Specialists.  
  • Set objectives for the HR team and track progress
  • Design and implement company policies that promote a healthy work environment
  • Develop compensation and benefits plans
  • Support and suggest improvements to the entire recruitment process
  • Discuss employees’ career development paths with managers
  • Monitor HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire)
  • Review departmental budgets
  • Organize learning and development programs
  • Ensure HR staff addresses employees’ requests and grievances in a timely manner
  • Maintain HR procedures that comply with labour regulations
  • Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
  • Creating a sustainable talent acquisition recruitment strategy.
  • Taking charge of planning, developing, managing and overseeing employer branding activities. 
  • Motivating employees to be brand ambassadors and planning employee referral programs.
  • Performing employee satisfaction assessments and workshops and recommending measures to improve employee retention.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organisation
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to Directors and Senior Management and provide informed decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management


  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalise ideas
  • Strong leadership skills to guide an HR team and support and motivate staff
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts
  • Knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software programs including SageHR
  • Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR / People Roles
  • People-oriented and results-driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Highly collaborative and prompt in responding to situations and keeping all parties updated on the status.
  • Able to establish trust quickly and are action-oriented and proactive. 
  • Experienced in managing a range of projects and volume of work with strong project management skills. 
  • Capable of navigating ambiguity, showing persistence, adaptability and resourcefulness in the face of obstacles.
  • Focused on priorities and able to project manage their workload.
  • Adept at navigating the needs of the business and the needs of the people.
  • Adapt well to changing conditions and new ways of thinking and are courageous in offering innovative creative ideas and thoughtful solutions.
  • Comfortable challenging and supporting stakeholders to get the best results.
