JOB TITLE: EV OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

IMMEDIATE MANAGER: Network Operations Manager - EV

 


JOB PURPOSE

 

MFG are looking for a EV Operations Administrator to monitor and maintain the health of its rapidly growing Electric Vehicle charging network.


The individual will achieve this by becoming the expert in administering the charge point management system, understanding how to identify downtime, and therefore raising any potential issues. They will also be able to extract the relevant data from the system and use this to produce reports for internal stakeholders.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leading independent forecourt operator with over 1200 sites across the UK. Our dual-fuel strategy involves proactively developing its infrastructure in anticipation of the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs), complementing its existing fuel and retail business to facilitate a seamless transition to a cleaner environment.

 

As of June 2025, MFG has successfully installed over 850 ultra-rapid chargers and 200 rapid chargers, ranging from 50 kW to 400 kW, across more than 340 sites—the highest number in the independent forecourt sector. Leveraging our ultra-rapid chargers, a vehicle capable of such charging speeds can add 100 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes.

 


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Follow processes to monitor the online system to ensure maximum uptime of the EV ChargePoint network
  • Provide Second-level support to first-level agents, assisting with all customer queries
  • Escalate unresolved issues to next level
  • Strong focus on monitoring alerts and alarms to quickly identify potential issues
  • Maintaining internal/external tickets, alerts, and KPIs
  • Monitor Daily Quality of Service analytics/routines
  • Set up all new sites across the required systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of data
  • Work with internal solutions team on innovation of systems and new requirements/features
  • Supports accounts where required to ensure billing/invoicing is correct
  • Provide cover for Network Operations Manager – EV to produce Reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually) from relevant data sources for internal stakeholders
  • Support wider EV charging team as required


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

 

  • Experience in administrating systems is required - experience in charge point management systems is preferred
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Power BI is advantageous
  • Good understanding of and experience with managing incidents and supporting systems (following processes and making sure data is complete and accurate)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnosis capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritisation skills
  • Perceptive, fast learner, and able to perform well under pressure.
  • Experience with managing real time incidents in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicle charging and infrastructure (not essential)
